The Association of the Castles of the Loire, Valley of the Kings brings together nearly 80 exceptional sites and monuments open to visitors from Nantes to Sully-sur-Loire. A unique heritage in the world to discover in the setting of the exceptional landscapes of the Loire Valley, part of which is listed as World Heritage by UNESCO.
There are many beautiful discoveries, from the Château-Musée de la Chasse de Gien to the Carolingian oratory of Germigny-des-Prés, which is one of the oldest churches in France, passing through the Château de Talcy, witness to the loves of Ronsard for the beautiful Cassandra.In Blois, the royal castle was the residence of 7 kings and 10 queens of France, the pretty castle of Montpoupon, fully furnished, has been inhabited by the same family since 1857, as for the charming castle of l'Islette, it housed him, the tumultuous passion of Camille Claudel and Rodin. Other discoveries at the castle of Serrant, certainly one of the richest furnished complexes in France with its furniture and its works of art which were established in nearly 4 centuries; or at the Manoir de Launay, a famous place rich in murals where King René and his wife Isabelle of Lorraine resided. At the castle of La Bussière, children have fun following the course of the cabins, at the castle of Selles-sur-Cher, 3 D glasses on your nose, we travel through time, from the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century, to the Nantes castle, a fun, educational and aesthetic scenography allows you to approach more than 850 collectibles. There is strength in unity and it is between friends that we solve the puzzles to manage to escape from the forgotten chapel at the Royal Fortress of Chinon.Finally, it is for two that we admire the magical spectacle of the gardens of Villandry by the light of more than 2000 candles, that of Brissac and its majestic park, or the details of a French-style park at the castle of La Lorie.
